Because some file names are the same for SRT3 1.7 and Oblivion and they overwrite each other. It's a lot of work to fix the trees.

If kami will permit me i have a working copy of SA with SRT3 1.7 + Project Obliviion 2010 installed (no other mods) with no tree texrure problems that i can share.

I've been messing around with SRT and Oblivion since the early versions, so i'm familiar with the common problems combining these two mods together.

You suppose to install SRT3 first, then Oblivion. It works, but you will always have the tree texture problem unless the two mods are merged correctly. Everything else works fine and looks good, but the no texture trees look annoying.

Plus when it's all done, your GTA3.IMG will much bigger than original, that normal auto mod installers like SAMI (San Andreas Mod Installer) and GGMM will not work anymore. You will need to manually compile every time you want to install a mod, a car, weapons, maps, peds, etc. But if you like an awesome looking game, it is worth the trouble.
